Your Personal Year cycles

Every year on your birthday, you enter a new cycle which continues until your next birthday. These cycles come in nine year blocks. They are as predictable as the seasons of the year and give you the overlying theme of your personal year. You might say each new cycle on your birthday gives you a homework assignment for the upcoming twelve months.

From today, look back 9, 18, 27 years and so forth to see the recurring pattern in those cycles. That will give you an indication of the type of energies you are currently in. Not the same events, of course, but the same theme. This is not good or bad; it just is. Just as summer is not good or bad; you either like the heat or you don’t.
The same goes for snowy winters; you either like snow sports or you hate the cold dark months.

And always remember: you have free will. You cannot change the cycles, your seasons, because they were set in motion the moment you took your first breath, but you have free will to determine your actions within those seasons.

For instance: during a snow storm you have choices. You can stay home in front of the fireplace with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate; you can go out into the storm fully dressed in your down jacket, hat, gloves, and boots: or you can go out into the storm stark naked (of course, unless you’re a holy man on a mountain in Tibet, your neighbors will wonder about your sanity). Your free choice in this situation will determine what happens to you. It’s the law of cause and effect; for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction; as you sow, so shall your reap. Whether it's physics or metaphysics, the law is the same.

To Determine Your Personal Year Cycle:

You can do this with any birthday: your birthday or the birthday of someone you know, even a pet, a business, an idea, and so forth.

However, let’s talk about your birthday. To find your current birthday cycle: Add the month and day of your birth to the four digit year of your last birthday. (Note: there are different ways to add your birthday but for our purposes here, we will use the following method.)

For example: a birthday of October 21st.
If today is March 2011, the person born on October 21st will go back to the year of their last birthday which is October 21, 2010. October is the 10th month.

Add: 10 + 21 +2010 = 2041.
Reduce 2041 by adding the numbers individually: 2+0+4+1=7.
The person born on October 20 is in a Personal Year Cycle 7 from October 21, 2010 to October 21, 2011.

Another example: a birthday of February 22nd.
If today is March 2011, this person has already had a birthday this year of 2011. February is the 2nd month.

Add: 2 + 22 + 2011 = 2035
Reduce 2035: 2+0+3+5=10
Reduce again: 1+0=1

This person is in a Personal Year Cycle One from February 22, 2011 to February 22, 2012.
